Target Audience

The target audience we are aiming to attract to our music video is teenagers and young adults, generally aged 16-24.  The reason for this is because the music genre of the song, thst being RnB, which is a popular genre among people of that group. Therefore, the fact we are also including an actor in the video of that age will make it more appealing to that group. Our video also alludes to another music video subtly, that video being Just by Radiohead. By making our video inspired by the surrealistic nature of the Radiohead one, we may even attract an audience of older adults who not only listen to that kind of music and would’ve seen the video, but also those interested or have more understanding of surrealism.

Tim Burton Tim could be classed as an Auteur film producer as he has a very signature dark approach when creating a film, which is instantly recognisable by the narratives, characters and even colour schemes that he uses in his films. In 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory', these things can be clearly seen by the use of dreary and dull colours to set a darker tone to the film as a whole. The character of Willy Wonka is also portrayed in a different way, showing him to suffer from a troublesome past which almost seems out of place in what you would think is a kids movie. Initial Response Cameron Douglas - you make me high Music genre The genre of the song is RnB. This is due to the fairly soft piano melodies and beats which play along side a male rapper. An  example of another RnB song that is similar to this in style would be Blue Lights by Jorja Smith. Style The style of music video that this song would mostly fit under is the Popular Music genre, this being because in many RnB videos the artist or others in the video are seen lip syncing to the song, especially if the song includes rap, and RnB and Pop genres are becoming more intertwined in recent times. Script for Assignment 2 Slide 1 (HEADING) Tame Impala - The Less I Know The Better For this Tame Impala video, Surrealism has been used, which is when a video attempts to break the boundaries between what is real and what is a dream. The reason for the video being surrealist is due to the use of unusual imagery, for example the fact that a man in a gorilla costume is in a high school setting. The video also includes a mixture of live action and Animation , the animation style in this video being 2d traditional style as it has clearly been drawn with pen on real paper, although it may have ben digitally edited.
