Target Audience The target audience we are aiming to attract to our music video is teenagers and young adults, generally aged 16-24.  The reason for this is because the music genre of the song, thst being RnB, which is a popular genre among people of that group. Therefore, the fact we are also including an actor in the video of that age will make it more appealing to that group. Our video also alludes to another music video subtly, that video being Just by Radiohead. By making our video inspired by the surrealistic nature of the Radiohead one, we may even attract an audience of older adults who not only listen to that kind of music and would’ve seen the video, but also those interested or have more understanding of surrealism.

Developing Ideas

Initial Response Cameron Douglas - you make me high Music genre The genre of the song is RnB. This is due to the fairly soft piano melodies and beats which play along side a male rapper. An  example of another RnB song that is similar to this in style would be Blue Lights by Jorja Smith. Style The style of music video that this song would mostly fit under is the Popular Music genre, this being because in many RnB videos the artist or others in the video are seen lip syncing to the song, especially if the song includes rap, and RnB and Pop genres are becoming more intertwined in recent times. One example of a video that includes this is The Hills by The Weeknd. Length 4 minutes (the song’s duration runs over 4 minutes) Pace The song overall has a fairly slow pace with the instrumentation but the vocals (which are rapped) are fast, so for the video I would want to cut to the beat with a mixture of fast and slow cuts to make it more visually interesting and fit the beat of th
